All living things are comprised of energy, but what happens to that energy after we die? Some stay because something horrible happened to them and they are awaiting retribution, while others remain in search of hidden "loot" from a crime they committed, never letting go of the life they once knew. Whatever the reason, ghosts are among us and some are noisier than others.
